Green gloss walls
Drab brown doors
High cream ceilings
Wood block floors
Rows of little hooks
To hang small coats
Cracked white sinks
Scummy dirt on water floats
The smell of sweaty feet
Someones eggy farts
David Killick’s snotty sneeze
That’s when the crying starts
Please Mummy take me home
School is not for me
Take me home by Bromley’s bus
Let’s go to Gran’s for tea…
All my crying is for nothing
All my tears fall in vain
Not only does she leave me…
Tomorrow,
I'll do it all again !

My goodness, how I can

My goodness, how I can identify with this one, Val. Andrea, bless her, would turn on the waterworks every morning when I took her to infant's school. It used to make me feel so guilty. After about six months she grew out of it, thank goodness.
Really enjoyed, Val. Thank you.
