Today is a beautiful sunny day. It makes me happy. Spring has sprung
with full force. The garden is looking beautiful. The daffodils and
camellias are exquisite and we have some unusual little grey birds
nesting in the hedge on the left-hand side.
I am trying to enjoy this lovely day and not think about the news too
much.
At lunchtime I sat outside reading some more Isabel Allende. I like the
way she writes.
Then I had a glass of pink grapefruit squash and some left over pie and
veggies from last night. R is now eating with me sometimes in the
evenings since his company's ban on travelling. I think it's getting a
bit frustrating for him. There is only so much he can do
remotely.
We have a bumble bee about the size of a golf ball buzzing around the
garden. But a lot of people have a lot more to worry about than that.
Actually it was quite beautiful.
Popped to Tesco's this morning to get some more potatoes. R can't get
enough potatoes. And the obligatory jaffa cake bars. He is getting a
bit obsessed with them.
The good news is we have finally made a decision on the reception venue
and have booked it. Oh how exciting! The bad news is that the place we
have booked for the ceremony has no disabled access. A couple of our
more elderly invitees might not be able to make it up the steps. I
don't know what we are going to do about that yet.
It was nice to see Melon Belly and S at the weekend. Babykins has only
a few weeks to go now. He or she is due the day before my birthday. We
have bought her a special baby chair, well, we have given MB the money
to buy it at least.
Looking forward to finishing work at the College. Only three more
Wednesdays to go now. Meanwhile, I am doing some extra work at the
hospital next week, and there is likely to be more coming up. Big L
knows that I am available more now.
There is very pretty white blossom on the tree in the waste ground just
behind our garden. I wish I knew what sort of tree it is. I wish I knew
more trees and flowers and birds.
Time for another cup of tea in the garden now. Catch you tomorrow
maybe.
