Sent on their way, refreshed and ready for life again

Tenderly they guarded every fledgling shoot

One and all came to drink from their bottomless well of love

No one went away with an empty heart

Everybody knows them, but no one sees the cost

Sombre days, kept for dewy eyes, privately they pay respects
