You have been warned,
you who wonder what lies at the edges,
and venture beyond the charted continent;
a gush of sticky warm wind should
cause you to think and tack
but you'll still press on
heedlessly to the barren islands
to delve for fool's gold
in the dark charred roots of the mountains
ignoring the sulphur stink
and clink of cold-blood arousal.

So don't blame me
when you are utterly consumed
or drop off the rim of the world.
