Holidays aplenty
Teacher, I really must enquire
In the long dreamy summer days
How do you fill the endless time?
Are your thoughts endless, unfulfilled?
Clockwatch minors soon forgotten
No insistent bells call to task
Forever pine for Autumn's fall
Fresh faces welcome with a sunny smile
Life long learning to start again
Or do you soar above the herd?
Your apprentice flock who idly graze
Expectant, 'neath the empty sky
Six of the best, sublimely filled
Forever busy, your wasted days
Diversions take you from the path
Seize the parent's anxious baton
And brace to run the race again
The Yuletide tape now beckons you
