I've Lost Mine

A doohicky is my thingy
for completing a task,
that I really hate doing,
and now that you ask
it’s one of those gadgets
that’s simple to use,
yet one that’s a nuisance
and easy to lose.
When I need it, it’s missing,
I turn each room upside down
and until I find it
I constantly frown.
My task stays unfinished,
it causes me such ire!
Oh! Sod the doohickey
I’ll use a coat hanger of wire!
