JOHNNY THE PIRATE
Johnny the Pirate is in our back-garden
beside the shed, the pond and the lawn,
he has a cutlass and a button-up coat,
a tri-corn hat with feathers adorned.
Johnny the Pirate is in our back-garden
but not even my brother or sister can see
cause he is my secret, my imagination,
I think he will meet me back by the tree.
Johnny the Pirate is in our back-garden
it’s such a shame we don’t live by the sea,
one day I’ll take him to where he belongs,
to his ship, Jolly Roger, and me.
Johnny the Pirate is in our back-garden,
for the time being he’ll sail in our pond,
I might tell my mum about him tomorrow
because she is a witch with a magical wand.
