Kancer

I stared at your face for an era
I carved your name in my hand
The smell around here as always
The blood from my fist in the sand
The smile that your fist has taken
The raw corpse of my sepulcher
Hangs from a gallow of pity
I'm tired of staring at vultures
I don't feel any sun
It's cancer kills everyone
And if this silence don't kill me this summer
Then I'll just sit and watch the sunlight burn
They tell me that people are good
But there's nothing nice left in my head
I smile at you in your houses of wood
Holding hands only when dead
I don't feel any sun
It's cancer kills everyone
And if this silence don't kill me this summer
Then I'll just sit and watch the sunlight burn
