Man on a stick

Man on a stick
Man on a stick in the meadow of my life
When the green shoots were just blistering from womb
You was kind gentle sipping cider.
I’m safe warm in meadows green
The bark of the crows heeds warning
Grandmother says
The sparkling flint still glints from earth
Look diamonds
No he said they are not diamonds
Green shoot of innocents touch my knee by now
Soon the crop will yield
And in his eyes I will be ready
Man on a stick still sips his cider
Maybe ambering his judgment
For me.
Big green hands hold up rows of golden orbs
Man on a stick
Steps down from his cross
And pulls the straw from his mouth
He takes me down to find the pretty diamonds
They bleed me
Barking crows swaddle me warning
Tumescent, he breaks me
Man on a stick you are like my Father
