Media Manipulation

It becomes ever more obvious that many people live their lives on
little rafts of logic on a sea of emotion.
This is fine when the sea is calm and it's easy to maintain balance - but as soon as the sea starts to get choppy, and the rafts threaten to capsize, then paranoia and panic become prominent passengers.
Knowing this the Media hype the news - spicing it with sensational
speculations and sound bites of rabid rhetoric - in a deliberate
attempt to "rock the boat" and add to the pressure to panic.

Pretending it is merely fulfilling its duty to inform the Media is
deliberately inflaming - because we are easier to control when we are unbalanced and upset and the Media's loyalties are to those who would control us.

Calm, sensible, logical heads make the best decisions - but the Media tactic is to shout "Tidal wave, paddle for your lives!"...
and then report on the resulting pandemonium.
