Mighty Mac
Who is Willy Tom?
And why must I there?
To meet with Mighty Mac
To plot my course for four long years.
Down the clinical corridors I creep
The inmates names clearly scribed
On cell doors, one for each and each for one
No warder roams to chain them for their sins
Just pale submissive faces who look all done in
Mighty Mac's spacious cave is nigh
Her tardis is well stocked with every modern aid
Yet she cannot stockpile time nor share it out with me
The breadline queue of helpless souls stretch far beyond her door
If I'm quick and listen fast, I might gather a precious crumb
But just as Jesus said "Never cast pearls before swine"
I'd often pass her way
Just to catch a glimpse
If only to gain fresh hope from her 'never say die' approach
Softly she lent me to the ground
Knowing what might come
She saw some hope, she saw the will
And fed the eager soul
I didn't grasp the holy grail
Yet left her sanctum much fulfilled
I had a place in pedo land
She led me there to quietly graze
And for one last time squeezed my trembling hand
