07.31 am, another cold day dawns and it is a bit windy as well. I
expect it will get hotter later on. I am listening to the
Offspring.
Yesterday I got home from Reading, and that was an experience that
weekend. The people I was with said it was one of the best weekends
ever. So back at Reading.....
I woke up at 6am having had two hours sleep and it was very cold
indeed. I put on nthe hoodie I had bought and went to the bogs and they
were still in one piece. I had breakfast then a little later everyone
put away their tents then trundled out of the site. I got a cab with
two of my niece's friends to the station where one oftheir Dad's was
waiting with a big taxi. The others turned up and we drove home,
stopping at South Mimms services for something to eat in Burger King. I
got it about two pm. I told my wife about Reading and read out my diary
I had kept, which I then spent an hour or so typing up after I had had
a bath. The diary I posted on abc covers mainly the three days of the
festival and a bit of yesterday (26). I played Bliss by Muse and some
other music then played my guitar quite loud for a while. I had to buy
a light bulb as the one in the dining room had blown. I watched tv and
then went online to check emails. I had one from Kit and they are back
again, which is cool.
I watched some tv and had tea and then went online for the evening in
chat with Erin. I hadnt spoken to them for a while so I told them about
Reading. I would like to have a band and play Reading, I said, but I
cannot see that happening anytime soon.
I was really knackered today and fell asleep for a bit in the taxi
taking us all home. I think we will got to Reading next year and maybe
get a gazebo and also get there Wednesday to pick a bigger pitch so
that the tents are all together. I think it was worth the ?200 I paid
for the ticket. I dont think you can really put a price on the fun I
had, even if at first it wasnt what I had hoped it to be, it got a lot
lot better.
One of my niece's friends is a drummer and her brother plays bass so I
may go round at some stage for a jam session. That would be a laugh. I
need to play with at least bass and drums to figure out how to get
better.
I missed a friend's gig on the Saturday, and my nephew's band is
supporting Jet Plane Landing in London in October, and they are worth
seeing if you like the stuff I do.
I have just written up four days entries in my hand written diary. I
never got drunk at Reading sticking to water and soft drinks
mostly.
