REMEMBER ME
By H. Walters. East Road Tylorstown.
Hear their battle cries, cry for me?
I beg your fond goodbye.
Let me go, confront the foe.
Tear me from thy side.
Though I yearn to stay, I must ride away
To face my destiny.
All I ask is but a simple task;
That you'll always remember me.
Should you see my steed running free;
Saddled, yet unburdened.
Show no fear; shed no tear;
Though my destiny be certain.
For though the body dies, the spirit rides
Through all eternity.
All I ask is but a simple task;
That you'll always remember me.
