Slow Life Down

She came crashing down in a cacophony of sound,
And no drop of hate but an eternal fire...
A never-ending tragic rollercoaster
Forever carving her own roads.
A magestic train wrecking-ball stallion...
...Glimmering avalanche in poetic carnage.
With monochrome memories I recall the days
I sat with her engulfed in her flamboyant haze.
A dangerous purity clutched at my soul
Transporting my mind's eye to places unknown.
In the nether-reaches of my fantasies
I saw beauty in its most untainted forms,
Simple pleasures in a garden of angels...
Unscarred beauty in the hills of freedom.
When the sun hits her eyes she cries,
Feigns demise
As I watch her innerspace crumble and burn.
The life she fed with infinite energy
Dissipates into grey coffins under her heaven.
Life is slipping away,
Everyday more than we can imagine or say.
And as she speaks to me softly it's a beautiful day
Drowning in ultraviolet and petrol fumes.
Underneath a sky of red she whispers a sad story
That only I can hear;
Humanity's destiny is like a flaming jet plane.
Life is a fragile fate
Destiny makes it move faster
I drown with her to slow it down
And kill the speeding disaster
