In the morning
turn the duvet over to hide the month marks
make some more reasons
to leave and buy things
like oranges and batteries and peonies
and gold frames
which you’ll hang empty as an iris
and project in
ignoring the grack cracks
and beer mats
and festive window proof scenes.
