06.38 am It is quite cold outside. It will get warmer as the day
goes on, it usually does. I am listening to "Insomniac".
Yesterday (01) I woke up at 6.15 and fed the cats. Neither of them were
much interested in the food, sometimes Tabby will sniff the food and
scratch the floor after he has sniffed it, I think he knows if the tin
has just been opened or not. Longhair will just eat his biscuits if he
doesnt like the food.
I wrote my diary, and online journal and checked emails, which I do
each morning. Then I played the guitar after I had had a bath. I play
the new Telecaster mostly now, although I did try out the Gretsch to
see how that sounded, and it appears that the amp was the big problem
with the sound rather than the guitars itself. Which confirms what I
thought, a good amp will make a bad guitar sound good but a poor amp
wil make any guitar sound cheap.
Later on my wife and I walked into Leigh and had a coffee in Irma's the
pizza place in Elm Road that used to be the Lantern Restaurant. We did
see the two girls who run Gum go in the shop but it wasnt open when I
checked so no looking through old t shirts for me.
We went in Woolworths where my wife bought the new Sugarcubes album and
I bought Voodoo Child by Hendrix which is like the Smash Hits album but
with more songs on it.
I also bought Kerrang and a copy of Internet magazine as it had a copy
of PHP Nuke on the cover disk and I thought I might have a look see at
it. We walked home and it was quite warm.
My tax return is now filled in apart from the private medical bit as I
have mislaid my P11D, although I did find the P60 which I needed. I
also signed four Nominet domain certs which I have to post off
tomorrow. I spent an hour and a half uploading phpnuke and then at the
last minute the host server crashed, so I wasnt able to configure
it.
Then I went online and chatted with D and some other people. I get the
occasional email from people, but nothing at all from Erin. I have
decided not to text or message her again. I still think we are friends
but if she doesnt want me to text or ring her then I won't. I was
talking to her friend and they said that she had messaged them a few
times.
I had a look at another chat room on NME which was complete anarchy. I
said nothing for twenty minutes while I watched what was going on, then
mentioned a comic strip series called "Cadillacs and Dinosaurs" by Mark
Schultz, which I seem to remember was pretty good.
I sent a few emails, then logged off. It seems strange not to spend my
whole Sunday evening in chat with Erin, but times change and
circumstances also change.
My wife and I had tea and watched "Notting Hill" on television. I like
the film I can relate to it. I went briefly back online, and found I
had some more emails, and replied to them.
We went to be at midnight. One good comment I got was about my songs on
UKA.
