WHEN LIFE BEGAN

A bolt of light
Split an ancient sky
O'er a barren world
That refused to die
It scorched the earth
And fired the dawn
And bade the world
That man is born

Life was roused
By that lightening burst
Fused together
By a heavenly curse
It lit the world
And so began
A troubled time:
The birth of man.
