People Run After BIG Money

People run after BIG money. But seldom do they realise that they should be satisfied with the little which comes their way. Because I strongly believe in one thing “Man proposes God disposes.” My mother always says this to me. I have also realised that greed is one thing which man has to control otherwise it is a deadly sin.
Why am I writing this? It just struck me from my experience of the recent past. The recession or the melt down, juggling around with words, it is clear that there is a global economic crisis. People around the world are affected. Those who have worked like the ants in the heydays have no problem but the grasshoppers and their likes are the worst sufferers.
Sayings never go wrong and I quote “cut your coat according to your cloth,” doesn’t it sound appropriate at this juncture when the world economy is shrinking. Television channels and newspapers are reporting hundreds of stories on recession. They are doing brisk business. On the contrary we find that malls and marts are doing no or little business and job layoff stories making rounds, it is evident from the layman perspective that something is seriously wrong. People committing suicides, families getting ruined are horrifying stories which we get to hear. Did we expect globalisation to show us this day? No! Never!
Too much of inter-dependency has landed us in such a scenario. Self-sufficiency was always a boon. But with the gradual rise of a big-brother forced many to come under the umbrella of a single force. This led to the dependency of the weak on the powerful. But when the powerful became weak the outcome is what we are experiencing today.
When the weak try to become strong under the blessings of the powerful they become the worst sufferers. Till the time they were on their own, things were sailing smooth. There are many lessons to be learnt. Life is a full circle we end where we had begun. Yet not everything is lost, it is said that history repeats itself so we have to go back to the history and learn where things have gone wrong. It is just like going back to school and learning the alphabets because strengthening the foundation helps you to hold on to the massive structure.
