Judgement

Dear God in Heaven, oh mighty, merciful One,
I send You this sincere, yet simple prayer
Within the Grace, from the sacrifice of Your Son,
I have a testimony, I would truly like to share
A man that I have known, since the tender age of ten,
A man with no obligation to me
A man that surely strayed, succumbed to every sin,
Now, sits in Judgment, to Thee
Through the trials and tribulations, a life must endure,
He gave his love, for no reason at all
And I am so grateful, to have known a love so pure,
So rare is he, to answer, such a call
In teenage adolescence, in the arrogance of my youth,
He stood fast, in the storm of my stupid ways
Oh the pain I must have inflicted, as now I live the truth
Yet he still loved me, and he did till the end of days
So God, as You sit in Judgment, please consider his noble deeds,
Let them atone for the mistakes he surely made
A man must be worthy of Heaven, if there's a saddened heart that bleeds,
For the price, of his sins he has surely paid
Amen
