There was a girl whose name we all know,
She was sick of work and didn’t want to go
So she overslept, and she faked being sick,
But they caught on to each and every trick
Then she came up with a most brilliant plan,
All she needed, was nine months and a man
Yep, you guessed it, the girls name is Eve,
And because of her, there’s Maternity Leave!

Have you read my post called Eve? She has always fascinated me, this one was for a secretary at work who went on Mat. leave, I was at work when I wrote it and it is written on an old piece of card board, I didn't have any paper!

Hi apeljo it's me again. Was she a girl that got herself pregnant by accident? I was just wondering, because from what you write, she seems to be a bit of a lost soul. Jenny

She is Eve, her sin got Adam and herself cast out of the Garden of Eden. I have always had compassion for her because as the story goes, the Devil basically tricked her. She didn't eat the apple with malicious intent, in fact, she thought of it as a good thing, she wanted to share it with her companion. I know she never really existed, and I have fun with the notion that man not woman came up with the whole Bible thing evident in it's "A woman should know her place" attitude. Have you read my "If God was a Woman?"
