Alchemy (And All the Elements of You)

She moves silently, gliding over cold slate floors
as if to force my imagination to believe
that I, assayer of such dreams, will surely love
her precious soul by virtue of an outstretched heart
and as if, in trails of golden dust and swirling flakes
I will measure each step closer, by its purity and weight
its energy, her shallow breath, our pulses race so much
and here now to be forged in gold, comes our very first touch...
So rarely could one find such pleasure in desire
hearts presence cast far beyond any average reach
beyond subconscious drumming beats, in golden steps
she came to me, gracefully, beyond my ability to believe
that I had been so loved before, beyond this scene
Here we lay in etherized purity framed in tangled waves
waves of yearning wetness, no lovers can forget
where softly mixed bodies are so deeply sketched
in charcoal strokes, or magically in earthen silhouettes
surely these golden rays as with those that were before
aren’t merely fiery, sunlit rays, but rather truly precious ore
formed in love’s subtle alchemy between reality and dreams
golden senses reaching out beyond our souls it seems
like nothing in our dream world, could ever feel so warm so true
and nothing in a real world, could ever match, all the elements of you...

You have nicely stitched two
You have nicely stitched two threads together. The forging of an endearing love along with that of a precious medal (gold). The alchemy of Love shines brightly in this poem. I was particularly impressed with these lines:
but rather truly precious ore
formed in love’s subtle alchemy between reality and dream
where softly mixed bodies are so deeply sketched
in charcoal strokes, or magically in earthen silhouettes
