Reunion

The evening’s going well. This music has everyone up and jigging about and those who aren’t jigging are either propping up the bar or huddled in dark corners in pairs. Oh well, let them have their fun.
Eh, twenty years since we graduated and first time back for most of us. It’s been interesting to see who has changed and how much. Some have aged better than others. Mel, the glamorous brunette with Darren Curtis for one. Bet he doesn’t remember her. They seem to be getting on very well. No doubt he’s using all the same chat up lines he used back in the old days. Divorced twice, never sees his kids, and thinks he’s misunderstood. Well, that’s what’s on his Friends Reunited page. Now he’s overweight and close to being a drunk and not much of a catch. Sad man. Someone ought to put him straight.
Oh-oh, I wonder where they’re going, as if I need to guess! Well, he’ll be back soon enough.
Well, that was quicker than I expected. Darren clearly doesn’t believe in foreplay. Still, Mel is looking smug so someone had a good time.
‘Going so soon, Darren? Oh that’s a pity. Hope to see ...’
He is in a hurry! What’s he shouting? Something about Arthur, not Martha? Oh dear! Naughty Mel. Obviously hadn’t got round to telling Darren about his op in Buenos Aires. Or his career as a Las Vegas drag queen. Couldn’t resist, I guess.
