Autumn

Leaves glow in autumn sunlight.
Log fires that warm up toes.
Dark evenings, colder mornings.
Ruddy cheeks and reddened nose.

Children playing conkers
Fields filled with baled hay
Steak and kidney pudding
The last meal of the day.

Each season is full of wonder
Nature brings its own delights
But me, I love the colours
And the cosy, fire fuelled nights.
