The moonlight sky shines,
beyond where we fear to tread,
vastness, it encapsulates the outer limits of the human mind,
a dream?
an idea?
A small step for man, but a giant leap for mankind?
Leap into the barren wasteland,
where the natives gather,
to take a peep at this alien wonder,
so coy, so strange,
in his white outer shell,
prancing like a spring lamb,
with a flag dangling disobediently at his side.
With what Sacriledge sacrilege he plants the flag,
into the delicate body of our land,
so rude,so unthoughtful,
the rocket descended away from our land,
good riddance,
No the elder shook his head 'they will return'.

nice example of the 'story
nice example of the 'story poem', some simple grammar errors -
and I'm unclear as to who is the alien?
should it be "With what Sacriledge..."
or ...
maisie Guess what? I'm still alive!
