Her childhood had been a less than stable experience, with deceit and manipulation being of hereditary disposition, she was in a way a self-fulfilling prophecy, of all that she had once hated. When she looked in the mirror she could not help but to wish with all her heart that things had turned out differently, that her parents had been kind and loving. And that with the emerging shadows edging ever closer would descend away, leaving her free to start over, erase all those loveless mistakes and finally live a life that was worth living.
But humanity has a way of sickly teasing you, tricking your senses, lulling you into a false sense of security. And before she knew it, Xanxia found herself trapped in a whirlwind of circumstances and with a warped irony; that would not only alter her destiny but the fate of all others in her realm. Her less than popular reputation was not aided, by the fact that she was of the pagan religion and often attended rituals that to lesser knowing people, were considered to be satanic worship that is often the case of people’s misconception.
It was not so much that she didn’t like to trust people, but that trust had never been installed into her, she had never needed to trust anyone, and when she had, it had led to less than desirable consequences. Bitter is what other intergalactic people called her, but they never questioned what it was that makes someone bitter.
It was not needed , they slandered her name freely in the intergaltic paper’s, written in the stars in a web of confusion her name symbolized all that was unrequired in this new world. She could not be healed because there was nobody let to listen, and so she turned to the only one she had left, whose name was Ekoria. And let it be told that she is one woman whom Evil is an understatement.
Those who had managed to survive, were mainly
business men who were rich enough to buy their way out of disaster and canny enough to extort the vulnerable and frail, most had fled to the realm of the blade for sanctuary. The wayward queen Ekoria ex-lover of the malevolent Azule was more than happy to offer her allegiance, in return for her profiting out of their illegally manufactured bio engineered creations. Which unbeknown to even the slyest businessman, were set in motion long ago by the calculating Azule, whose heart was blackened beyond salvation. As he knew full well that this new breed of mankind would fall again, with the most tragic consequences threatening to undo the foundations of our very existence.
The Realm of the blade, the second intergalactic world that had been created amid the destruction of earth, this world was barren and full of volatile and argumentative people; it resembled a waste land, now derelict and decaying amid the ruthless rule of Ekoria and her bastard child Tariq.
However there had been a time, many moon’s ago when this land had thrived, plentiful riches had circulated the land under the rule of a king of unspeakable criminality, whose name had been erased from the history books, fearing if his name was ushered a curse would befall on menfolk which would rival even his most horrific past actions.
Not much is known of where Ekoria sprang from, some argue that it was from the pits of hell, but she had never wanted for anything, her parents were never short of affection, but despite this she remained cold and unloving in return, and even when her own mother passed from this world, she would not grace her presence at her mother’s funeral.
This was frightfully queer, not only as a matter of respect but also as the lives of those who had survived the faltering earth was even more precious. And as we cannot fathom why she became so unsympathetic it may have been her unquestioning love for Azule, but all that we can be certain of is that, once she aligned herself with Azule a man she was willing to do anything for, there would be no turning back for her, and the gates of heaven would forever shun her away.
It was in this past time, that a child was created out of a passion that burned more furiously than the flames of hell, fathered by the evil king himself, and his lover a woman named Ekoria who rivaled his vindictiveness, the boy was named Tariq, after the ‘nocturnal visitor’. And as all those who are born to such evil beings, there would come a time when he would rise up to claim the crown which by blood was rightfully his.
The third world created in this new intergalactic vortex, was called the Land of the Birds, it was of a peaceful and fair disposition, full of the animals that were salvaged from the decaying earth below, these people were respectful of nature and its strength and beauty, and were heavily involved in conservation work to reintroduce dangerously extinct animals back into this innovative world.
Its king was named Khalid, he was a just ruler, and his world thrived in all aspects of life, from arts and culture, to economics and religion. His daughter was named Rani, and she the double of her father in many ways, equal minded and patient however when action was needed she was a keen warrior, trained in the mystic art of tracking and judo, a frightfully clever combination.
Rani, of an athletic but flattering build, her face was heart shaped with two piercing blue oval eyes leading up to delicately curved eyebrows that were the envy of many other girls in the realm, her nose was almost arched and distinguished however not out of place, her lips were slender, and of a fuchsia complexion.
She had long flowing brown hair which had a slight curl towards the end, and would always wear a blue feather perched to one side of her head. She was clothed in a utilitarian style mostly made of cotton, in soft warm colours and a delicately embroiled top that was cut off at the waist. A very distinctive sense of style is what the fashionista’s of the country of the birds would say. Although many chose not to follow this so called ‘fashion’, in favor of long flowing gowns and flowers in their hair which they found far more fitting for a young lady to be wearing.
