America would never have been the country it is now without George Washington. With his wisdom and intuition, George Washington willingly helped mold a new nation. He led his men against the British forces, helped write the United States’ new Constitution, and eventually, became the very first President of the United States of America.
In February 1732, George Washington was born at his father’s plantation. Soon when he was eleven, he endured great personal tragedy. His father, Augustine Washington, died, making young George’s schooling in England unattainable. So as a substitute, his mother sent him to a one-room school in a nearby field. And during his seven or eight years of education, he excelled in mathematics, and he developed his God-given talents.
Because of the bravery and courage he showed during the American Revolution and his presidency, George Washington received great dignity as a national hero. Many different memorials were made in honour of him, and he has become one of my greatest inspirations. Without a doubt, George Washington truly is a remarkable man.
