I will admit you never really looked young
With your tanned papery skin
This is what years of smocking had done
But over a month
You grew old
Your hair turned white
And your skin began to fold
You grew so tired and weak
So weak it hurt for you to speak
Your strength just ebbed away
Making life more painful day by day
It wasn't long before you were at death's door
Everyone almost begging you to go in
Because you were so skinny and sore
And even though you were fighting strong
We couldn't take no more
I'm sorry I didn't talk to you
Get to know you
I was too pathetic to even see you
But your dead now
So there's nothing I can do
Except learn about you

There's something that
There's something that strikes me as honest about this. Sad, and slightly regretful. Well that's what I took from it.
