Just a quick catchup...
I had my surgery on Monday and from what I can see, it looks clean and neat. So glad I went for the double option - makes things much simpler. Before I left hospital yesterday afternoon they gave me a pair of temporary bosoms (softies) to wear in my bra to put pressure on the swelling - and to look like bosoms, of course. Later on, once the swelling has gone, you get fitted with some proper ones - size of your own choice! It's great I won't have to try matching a new one up with an existing natural one. Maybe I'll end up with a selection of fakes to fit my mood. Or just go out without, if I want.
Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better each day, and it's so nice to be home. Once the drains are out, life should be a lot more comfortable, too. It was lovely in hospital, though. The nurses were all so kind and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble - sympathy, care and dignity on tap. It wasn't just a job for the nurses on the ward I was in, they clearly love their job and genuinely care.
So now I'm here, being waited on hand and foot and lovin' it. Better go now, just about to text my daughter downstairs to bring me up a cuppa.

Very best for the future Bee!
It's very satisfying to know your nursing staff are as dedicated as the ones that took care of me. Give them a thumbs up from me, tell them I know how important it is for your self-confidence and well-being.
Love

good to hear, especially the dedicated care of the nursing staff. Sometimes we forget when all we hear is the whine of another horror story.

hooray- so pleased to hear you're home again, and with your sense of humour intact too (as well as your temporary bosoms). I hope you continue with your swift recovery. When you've finished your texting don't forget to write some more xxx

So glad you're home and in good spirits, Deborah. Would love a cuppa with you myself should we get the chance. Do get some rest and know that there are loads of us thinking about you.
Warm hugs,
