Conflict of the planets

It was a horrific experience thinking back to the invasion, seeing countless lives being plucked one by one and being toyed with by other beings. Well it happened like this, a year ago in Bedford I was heading to the local newsagents (as I normally do) to pick up my newspaper. I pushed open the door and walked in, in my casual way and picked up the latest headline, it said 'UFOS! ARE THEY HERE?' It was about some mysterious objects orbiting the Earth that were getting closer.

I walked up to the counter and fished out some money and placed it on the counter, the shopkeeper walked up to me and was about to take the money when a humming noise was heard. It came from the ceiling; I stared at it thinking where was the noise coming from. I then went to walk to the exit keeping my eyes glued to the ceiling. The wood on the ceiling splintered and the nails holding it pinged out and bounced across the floor.

'ABDUCTION'

Everyone in the building was so silent you could hear a spider scampering across the wall. The continuous creaking and splitting of the ceiling was like having a knife trickle down my spine. It suddenly burst with planks of wood raining down on the shelves. I was too petrified to move as if hands had gripped my legs with their firm bony grasp. The humming morphed into a mechanic roar, while I witnessed a chrome plate like object above me; well that was what it looked like at first. The object was completely shiny and stainless. At the centre of it was round hole that shot out a transparent tube, it bended towards the shopkeeper who fell to the ground in fear and sprawled away until the tube sucked him up. I watched him go up into the object swiftly.

I sprinted out of the shop and onto the streets to the nearest lamp post; I looked back at the machine it was hard to see because it was completely flat. In front of me though was a large crowd mesmerized at the disc like machine. By now I knew it was a UFO, it opened up two compartments at the side which had two cannons. I found it quite bizarre that something 2D can contain 3D objects.

The cannons on the side started to make a revving noise while me and the crowd stumbled backwards slowly. Suddenly a bloodstream coloured laser blasted out of the cannon into a nearby car bursting into an inferno.

IMMPOSIBLE ARCHETECHURE

Immediately everyone ran for their lives including myself. I panted and tripped over and awaited my inevitable doom. My body quivered all over as I closed my eyes praying. I suddenly felt that I was getting pulled along, so I opened my eyes and looked ahead. I was being dragged into the UFO, I scraped my nails across the concrete trying to keep my grip, but the suction was to powerful. I flew up and went though the tube as my vision went black, as black as peering into a black hole, well I at least I think it's black and not invisible. A few minutes after a piercing light entered my eyes, I focused at what I was looking at, then objects started appearing in front of me until it all became clear. I was inside the UFO! The area I was in was a large bone white room shaped like a sphere and was the height and width of a very tall oak tree. Yet again I found it strange that something 2D can contain something 3D. I tried to move my arms and legs but something grasped on them.
