The return of the teabag

A teabag used to be just that
A perforated paper bag
That let flavour flood out.
Then it became a technological masterpiece
A heavily nuanced plastic hybrid
Striving for brewing excellence.
But then middle classed English gardeners
Started finding them in their compost
Couldn’t break them down
Unless with the pitchfork.
Of course there was uproar
A teabag sits high next to a pint
On the table of life’s little treats.
The TV people did an expose on it
And all the main tea people
Scrambled to put the teabag right
And that’s when it returned to being
A perforated paper bag.

I'm not sure we're middle
I'm not sure we're middle class gardeners, but we did get told not ot put all those teabags into the compost because of the irritation of finding them in the garden after the compost was added! Rhiannon

Tea bags.
I'm not a gardener, so you made me smile. Thank you.
