It Takes Two

“Two is greater than one.”

They told me in math

“It takes two to tango.”

That one gave me a laugh

So I thought two was pretty great

And three was too much

One not enough, but two?

Just the perfect touch!

Until two pretty heads

With two gullible minds

Told two different stories

Of one single man

A version for each

An illusion per gal

An attempt per body

And a fool per aftermath

And a thought had occurred

Perhaps the saying misheard

And one is better than two

 after all.
