Loneliness

Loneliness:
It’s the holidays once again, and once again I’m alone. Not sure when life left me but one day it was there and the next gone. Sometimes, with a lump in my throat, I sit thinking about my children, my past and when things may someday return to normal or become at least tolerable.
I can’t even describe the emptiness that loneliness leaves in the soul of a person. Your heart melts and as you ascend stairs of despair and the now hallow corpse that once had hope washes past memories of long ago while you desperately grasp the abyss seeking warmth from those now gone, who you once held and loved so dearly. These days are long, so very long and the seconds slowly float past like tormented hours yielding no escape or salvation from the pain you can’t see nor touch, explain or describe and you just slump into acceptance wishing all that was, all that you knew and all that was past, would never have been. Then you cry…………………….
Lift yourself, search for strength within hope and cleanse the sadness with perseverance and salvation. What was in those dreams of tomorrow in time are resurrected in His word. Hold fast to the passions deep within your heart and expect healing salvation and a new birth from the ashes of sorrow. Light wanes in life shifting from side to side but as days pass, clouds cover dissolves unto a rising dawn which graced upon your soul provides a new beginning.
Seek compassion for others in need and it will drape you in grace and untold joy. Look into the eyes of he who has nothing to find in giving the key to a new life and enthusiasm never revealed. Love as though you had never tasted the sweetness of honey, expecting nothing in return and you will find peace within your spirit far greater than that of saints from long ago.
Hope is not lost on those who persevere but will in time begin to flower into blossoms which touch the souls of all you encounter returning unto your home the blessings of compassion, giving, sacrifice all the while lighting the path never walked, which waits for you on the other side of this journey,
