fragmented particles of supreme knowledge
drifting in clouds of mushroom soup
and grilled cheese sangy
as afternoon showers hasten memories
of past problems to the surface
right now
Stuffing my fat face fuller
each bite a bitter reminder
of shattered dreams and plans
snotted out like
fake pots of gold
down the rainbow
viscious clog of bread down throat
greed the cause of sad demise
as I choke on promises of glory
made in wasted years of folly
thunder beats across the land
as laughter to my tears
Echoing universal wisdom
through millenium passed down
ignored by modern societies
trampled by lesser men
hark!the end has come

So many brilliant lines in this one, braintrain. I think it's fair to say you CAN write poetry! Second stanza is divine, looking forward to reading more of your work :)
