After the Rain

After the rain everyone has new cars
clouds slide across their roofs
silk slips of skybright and shadow
the tops of flagpoles are collaged with tinfoil
touched on like leaves of silver
with cerulean behind
an accidental dome of art
come accross in an eyeblink
and the air has been scrubbed dust free
rinsed in rosewater , vinegar, and promise
