The Loveless poem

The winds turn the seasons
And the weeks.
And the days.
But I remain alone,
one half of the puzzle
someone was too lazy to
finish.

Forever.
A word said to
you but.
but.
How long is forever?
A day
A week
A season.
Forever is never
ever.

Do you bite the hand that feeds you?
I do.
Do you forgive those
that are forgiven?
I don’t.
Words, just words I
say…
…
Denial.

I can’t forgive those
that find their love.
I love them
But not me to them.
I am not there
But I am here.
In the shadows
Never known
Never cared for.

I’m a brother,
A friend,
Not a lover.
Those words.
That burn into my heart.
I’m never enough.
I never have enough.

I delete a line
You’ll never see
it.
A line that could
change everything to me.
I want to say
I love you
But I know
That you.
Love.
Him.
