What is Beauty

Could beauty be described
As a lie
As a myth
As a state of mind?

Could it be a feeling
An emotion
A sensation,
A breathe of fresh air
Sweeping across my eyes?

What does beauty look like?
Emerald green eyes,
Night black hair,
Silky smooth skin?
Or is it misty grey eyes
Dead split hair
And a monster to the eyes?

But love is everything
A state of mind,
An emotion we all adore
How do we know what is love?
Does Beauty trigger love?
Like an arrow through the heart?
Is it always there
Just hidden from our eyes

Or is it here
In my arms
Resting
Sleeping next to me
And holding me tight.

This is love
In the form of beauty.
