The "Golden sun is shining as we sit on the train home
people are sitting reading to get away from daily strains
the laptops are out and they are working hard again.
The train!s carriages are unusual Red white and blue
16 stations we have had to get through.?
There isn!t much air and I!m missing the views
The tree-tops of green high up to the sky
so I got out my pen to write? or try.
Rabbits, Brown, White are jumping in the fields
now we are coming into Brighton Station
I stand up in my new beautiful Red Dress
of shot silk satin crushed all in a mess.
as we step of the train my feet are aching trying out higher heels
so we walk through the park to a park bench a dog is sitting on the seat.
We never got to Brighton the waves crashing in the sea
.
Adults and children run along in the breeze
it would have been a pleasure to paddle my feet
Speed boats pass under the bridge.
The Carousel of horses going round with the flood-lit majestic Royal Pavilion in the town.
There is also a cafe delicious cream meringues we have had before and seen the very
young ones bungee jumping on the beach
or some group listening to a speech
We are just walking into our road the pink blossom is in full bloom,
now I'm indoors I must shake out the beautiful
Red Dress that came by post?
Put it back into its designer folds.
Remember, you can wear Red young or old,
So I will wear my red dress one day again with a fan in one hand and in the other a parasol.
Had it been my belated Mum who wore Red all the time I did not like the colour Red then
she would have been dancing and singing to Abba songs on the Pier A "Super Duper" Mum.
So I'll take of my shoes make a cup of tea and retire with a good book "The Shack"
and go to my room to read.
