'The Times They Are A Changing' (I.P)

Easter morning
I was then
hanging out hand washing
seagull's crying shocking!
Or was it the song I was singing
we are taught 'Singing for pleasure
"Love Never Dies"
turned to go back in
did I deceive my eyes
There sitting in the plastic chair
was the love cat 'Jazz'
not seen for twelve days
just went meow! in glimpse of the sun
I am happy again he is my number one
now I can move about more
the back gives way hoovering
and spring cleaning over lifting
The windows once a year
mine has calmly said
"I am just going to help
clean the windows for my bowling club"
I was furious and speechless
now the weather so fine
you can guess as couldn't bend
I swore...100 times words offend
Oh! The times are a changing
'Jazz' rushed in another day
straight into Ray's chair
but he wasn't there
He likes look into cupboards
and the kitchen too
Into the bedroom quick I look
no where to be seen
Curtains nearly shut
a shadow seems be there
I peep! and see
two little black ears
It is 'Jazz' crawled
in behind the pale blue curtains
just a small part
of his beautiful face
Laying on the lace
because hiding to catch the sun
he kind of blinks will his claws
get caught then a cry let him out
He is not keen on dogs
course passing by
crouches down
I say "Don't be scared
Whizz! off he has run
he has heard a car
it is his master returned
as I have opened the door
Another day he will lay by low wall
by tub plant red berries have died
move flat on his back I say
"can't tickle you have to bend to low"
So moves himself along
then he pulls himself
till his paw is curled
I giggle and giggle
laughing out loud
Now I'm reading
cat's like to disguise themselves things to match
the black cat lays on a chess board
ginger one's like leopard print cover
Hard to spot find them
all because of a nap
the name of a horse called 'Cat A Wallow'
usually doesn't come first
Course I didn't bet
damn well won at 12-1
now I feel
thousand times worse
Dr's now state
singing is good
for anxiety and depression
one day will I go to heaven
I cannot sit on low seats
at the moment bus or train
when Ray used take me to London
the Wheat sheaf meet ups
Our Editor t.cook (Tony)
would coax me when I read
gives me words of encouragement
as the pain is coming on I dread
We had to change twice
on the underground
I would stand
males bless there heart's
They all offer me a seat
only two stops I'd say thankyou
I would just smile
their poor faces dropped
oh! The times are changing
here I am toddled up the road
young man on a bike
something under his arm
I shouted out ...
as I needed balance on the pavement
but I did get a sorry! surely
he could have pushed bike round the bend
Are we cutting costs again
mine bought pack of paracetamol
when it was opened
no mg or name on
Now sure!
this could be dangerous
to all even bone shaped ones
can't swallow at all
We have a weeks break
from'Singing for pleasure'
with our great music conductor
'Simon Gray' teaches us and plays
Might make it two weeks
unless trains and bus
if all could have like a car jack
lever to any height make no fuss
I ponder in the garden
who! done it!
a pair of socks with names on
lying separated in the pathway
Ah! Mystic Meg! me the answers blowing in the wind
a rotary clothes line
no pegs on at all the socks
would have blown over the wall
We must all pull our socks up
to make Britain great again
emails not answered
phone message loved one
Sorry! unable get to the phone
Aunts and Nans and all
not looked after some ill alone
pensioners worked hard everything cut down
Then year's ago the pension went up
or a pint that those would sup
barely enough for a loaf of bread
certainly not exciting as the increase says
Even our passion flowers
not come out
maybe there is not
much passion about
Are the times are changing
a slice of cucumber for the eyes
make up full of chalk
and chemical dyes
Tumour
fear
over
metals
in
lipsticks
Porridge oats
mixed to a paste
good for the skin
a mask for the face
Rub a banana on to shoes
makes them shine
put some lemon pieces
in a kettle to remove scales overnight
Now would you believe
the papers list beer or coffee
in a shampoo
make the follicles to grow
No wonder I am gray
my hair has gone thin
once it was reddish
and much better looking then
I've toddled down into the park
on a bright summers day
have to cross the zebra crossing
on the way
Put my hand up
as the traffic
comes to a halt
as they all kindly wait
Had a Cappuccino
white sugar have found
taken photos
of beautiful white blossom tree
Had a little chat
here and there
to find out what has
been going on
People and the peace
is so calming
people breathing in
in the air
The blind garden it was known
full of plants
about to flower
the friend took me round
She knew every name
The Pussy Willow tree
or yellow 'Catkin' hangs
the vintage car appears
The bride would come in
and stand there
beauty of the scenery
as they stand having photos there
Aimed the camera high to the blue sky
who! did I spy
two young males playing table tennis
and the girl made three
I asked of course to take
but have no names
will have keep looking
for in the sunny weather days
Treated myself to
cheap coloured red and pink roses
plus two bunches a £1 narcissus or daffodils
what! a good deal
But Oh!
next day ants
running all in the stemens
across the window sill
Thankyou all on AbcTales
so many kind helped
since 2009 I started
Great Editor (Tony) and his stories
So many names I can mention
from A-Z
but what a hectic week it's been
not a poet or a writer
just making live's brighter.
When t.v papers are all gloom
just watch spring time
and joys of the petals opening up
and smiles from children passing by
This is a load of rubbish!
so I will confess
just having a go
and getting it all of my chest
Well blow me down!
I can hear a noise outside
yes! your right 'Jazz' calling me
rushed behind that curtain again
full in the sun
I must be doing something right for once
Oh! no he has gone to chase the sun set
moving around
as it floating among the wafting clouds
One of our songs
we were taught last week
"When I'm Cleaning Windows"
No! not ever again
