'The Young Eccentric Gentleman'

Sitting outside 'Starbucks'
Who! was wearing
a top black hat
suit and tie
A dove colour
waistcoat
maroon cravat
and white gloves
As I was passing by
holding a silver top
walking cane by his side
I re-marked "I love"
The Regency and Victorian costumes
and the parasols
I have two long dresses
too long to wear
Our elderly groups age over 50's
all finished and other groups to
all we did
such a shame
He didn't give his name
but mentioned in our chat
is an opera singer
at 'Glyndebourne'
Imagined him as 'Fred Astaire'
and 'Ginger Rogers'
tap dance team
I mentioned had a camera
Intended to take great
christmas decorations
may I take one of him
Oh! "Please do" he replied
I've seen many in costumes
worn in Western Road
never a young gentleman
so polite and composed
Maybe he could be in a film
as a Mr. D'arcy
now I'm off soon
to the 'Motown show'
I said "Join us on
