doodles in the sky - or - my smelly great lump

doodle was my dog
smelly shaggy great mut
didnt run round in circles
he had no pattern to his motion
if he were a drawing
he would be a doodle

my dads finely tended marigolds
became replaced with his slippers
how doodle would run when busted
not that he cared
he had joy in his fur
and ten thousand fleas

doodle has now gone
to dog kennel in the sky
im sure causing great mischief
to whoever's nearby
burying slippers
tugging on clothes
