such is the sight that befell my eyes, as i looked down upon my flock
my view from way up here,I could see looks of trust not shock
my wrists they start to ache as the daylight began to wain
though my herd i saw quite clearly, my eyes i need not strain
they sat looking at me all day long, never did they wander
the trust the had within me, how long would it last, i ponder
my head begins to loll, as my neck now starts to ache
i must keep my strength, my own mind clear, for my peoples sake
abound my strength is fading, my fathers help i need
oh father, my father, dont forsake me, i raise my eyes and plead
a voice within my head, beckons me to attone
for all my peoples sins and guilt, i must stand alone
my lips all dry and cracking in this arrid heat
the blood that ran down my face, now dried upon my feet
through blood shot eyes i see my mother, kneeling down below
she's looking up at her son, her heart a wounding blow
cast my eyes around her, people bowing at my sight
lift your heads i mumble, cant you see the light
the warm breath getting closer, my pain seems to be lifting
my flock they look not at me, though over them im drifting
the strangest feeling comes, like i am floating with the tide
and moving up to see my father, to stand ever by his side
