the sun is shining, and it is still winter
the roads are so hot they are starting to splinter
yet a few miles away, theres a snow covered cap
just dont "wonder" too far, youll fall off the map
for this, a land in my imagination
she has been cradling life, since the start of creation
with multicoloured fish, her seas are infested
to her tropical forests, birds coloured and crested
she looks over her family with love and great pride
a land where all seasons live and collide
her people, they are as diverse as the weather
no matter who, born there she will endeavour to tether
your heart to hers will eternally be
whether you rest your hat there or way over sea
drawn in from far polynesia was proud maori man
from the rest of the world came the great kiwi clan
never mistake them for aussie's or you hide will be tanned
for she is the home of beauty we call new zealand
