Lenny Mass's Branhal School Diary - Monday 29 September

Monday 29 September

Michelle came back today.
Everybody in our class refused to make eye contact. The people who had to sit next to her moved their chairs so they weren't sitting so close. We walked into our second lesson to find Craig, Ross and Matthew telling Michelle she needed to apologise to Nettie.
"What for? Because she lost at dodgeball and I won? She needs to apologise to me for getting me suspended."
"Are you kidding?" Ross asked. "You broke her arm."
"Not my fault she's a wimp."
I really think Ross would have smacked Michelle if Mr Fooster hadn't walked into the classroom at that moment.
At dinner, I noticed Michelle sitting at the table where Gemma, Emma and Emily were sitting. But as soon as she sat, Gemma, Emma and Emily stood up and left.
We finished up for the day. Me and Nettie said goodbye to Johnny and Wendy before they walked home. We were the last two in the classroom, but before we could leave, Michelle barricaded herself in the doorway.
"Just to let you know. Nobody spoke to me all day. And your boyfriends threatened me earlier. I will never forgive you for getting me suspended. Mr and Mrs Branhal seem to think I broke your arm on purpose. I was only playing dodgeball. I didn't know you're too stupid to know how to stop the ball." Michelle lowered her back so she was eye to eye with Nettie. "Don't worry, I'll get you back. You'll be sorry."
Then Michelle straightened herself, and flounced off.
 I looked at Nettie. Her eyes were filled with tears. I put my arm around her.
"Don't worry, she won't do anything."

I hope I'm right.
