Separated by more than miles and
Distant in more than time;
Destructively we tore at each other's souls
And ripped out the bleeding hearts,
As memories lay sobbing on the floor
Forgotten and trampled
Like the discarded rubbish they had become.
Emotions were turned inside out
To be roughly exposed to the
Cold harsh wind that had frozen reality.
Yet as repair became unobtainable
Warm tears melted eyes which had
Too quickly become devoid of feeling.
Love stretched a broken arm to
The chaotic minds,
And whispered in the ears of reason,
Massaging madness with its empty hand.
Sanity kept us apart, but
Our Hearts beat together
So, as our minds are destroyed
Our souls breathe
Gaining strength with each
Divine inhalation.
