Wild and fiery, like the midday Sun
A desert storm flying the over equator,
Deep and blue, like the vastest Seas,
Unfathomable, unknown, exciting and exotic,
Sedate but untamed, yet paradoxical a panacea
Disjointed by chaos and loss,
Organic and true as the Earth itself
Yet chemically fuelled - to escape the soils she toils
To leave bereft the past, present & future
An hour-glass to suspend both pain and joys.
But she is brave and strong as a River flows on,
From mountain to sea, from sky & rain she travels back
The craggy brooks that I can only dream to navigate,
Lead wide to the life that flows from the ether
My love runs as wild as the River that she calls home.
