On a damp and bone chilling October night,
When the dusk sets to bloody hollow red hue,
A boogeyman attempted a scare but it didn't go right.
He was patient and deathly quite in the darkened unseen,
but he didnt account for the victims new toy,
and landed face first onto the floor with a scream.
The boy awoke and rored with annoying laughter,
"Shut it you little shit, do you even know how painful that is?"
He messaged his horrid head and then continued his canter.
"Im just here to make your life a living hell, is that what you think?"
The boy coward in aweful fear while the boogeyman took a seat,
"No my dear frightened moron, Im here to remind you of something, got a drink?"
He qyitely shook his head slowly and the boogeyman sighed,
"Ill make this fast, this is the season of respect for the dead, Holloween you call it?"
Slightly nodding yes the Boogeyman got up with a terrifying stride.
"This is the season to respect all life, be it living or undead.",
He walked back to the closet while the boy peaked oddly out of his covers,
"Always remember that, fellow brat. And keep in mind to use your head."
Closing the door whence his wretched entrance began,
The boy was quivering in unnerving fright then the boogeyman shot back,
"Oh, and clean up this goddamn mess, you got it mortal man?".
The door then went silent while the boy made sure he was gone,
wondering if he was there or had gone insideously mad,
Knowing not what to do he gathered up his strength and screamed "MOM!!".
She awoke and ran to his room but dismissed scorning,
"Enough fairytales, good night and be quite Jimmy."
This is why I leave lights on at night; the grim, real story.
