inflicted by weak minded individuals. Once he found Gerald Hemmeriche all the missing pieces fit perfectly into place. The device was originally produced with crude methods and limited technology. They had hope to create a device that could adapt or nullify the human brain in hopes of creating members of society completely controlled by their creators. However this was doomed to fail since they did not have access to modern neural applications or procedures. No psychoactive compnents or carefully crafted nanite machinery to aid them in the battle of the mind. But Dr. Abbot never gave up on this dream his father embedded into his young naive mind as a child. He did not know of the vast possibilities such technology could provide in this era. Not until now.
Switching off the webcam he then injected the subject with some more anthstetic compunds and carted his body to the gloomy ward. Tomarrow would satisfy his tireless efforts or send them screaming to the depths of hell itself.
"My work is finished. You may not be able to think or feel at this moment but its all for the best. One day you and the entirety of the human race will thank me for this standard procedure." He whispered coldly to himself.
Dr. Abbot did not know of Bennets capabilities. Nor did the good doctor know that the boy was awake the whole time the procedure took place. What scared Bennet the most was that, for the first time in his life, he felt free. He would ensure that it stayed that way to any morbid end. Any end at all costs. As he drifted of into sleep he smiled wryly at all the fun that lay ahead of them.
Dr. Abbot poured a glass of scotch and decuded tonight he would do something out of the ordinary. He put on his brown winter coat and made arrangements with a hotel clerk for him and another guest. If Bennet faioed him it was logical he would have another subject at dawn to try again. Very logical indeed. As he rode off in the putrid cab he finally felt a sense of peace his father had not died in vain.
