Aurora
She was peering over the garden fence
at the spider on its string of pearls.
I went out,
smiled at her through the dewy web.
Neither of us said anything
but both knew,
something
would happen.
I could smell her perfume;
earthy, full of promise.
Two pigeons thrashing in the branches
caught my attention.
Whilst my back was turned,
she'd hopped over the fence.
Cheeky! I thought,
I like that in a woman:
stealth.
I backed up,
I'm not that easy.
Anyway, it prolonged things a little.
Tease!
I thought I heard her sigh.
Then she started nudging at my chest,
pushed me till my back was
hard
against the wall.
I couldn't resist her then,
not with what she was wearing.
Diaphanous.
We kissed.
