Misleading Thoughts

I have these thoughts somedays
They lift me up and take me away
Some travel further than others
Some travel deeper and go on forever
I find myself addicted to this little world
It's completely inside my head and quite absurd
But, for some reason, I need to write it down
Otherwise, my face is imprinted with a frown
Then, other days, I'm caught up in reality
It's too real for me, it's an obscurity
To my imagination and my creative vision
I feel suppressed by this suppressive society
Nothing I do is whole-heartedly
But I keep tuned it, like a buzzing television
Waiting to escape in a puddle of inspiration
These misleading thoughts could make or break me
The day-dreaming may be worth it eventually
Or, they're keeping me from enjoying reality
But, at the moment, it means the world to me
To see the blank page full of a wonderful mystery
