So, the small boat set off for Harinethea, the great city on a big island. It went across the blue, calm seas, as if it were a cheetah, riding across the waves. Zanik and Forono sat in the cabin, devising the plans. "So, where do you come from?" Zanik asked, curiously. "A town, near the other side of the caves that are near your village. It's a very adventurous town, everyone goes off in the end." Forono replied. "Oh, and you went in the end?"
"Yes." As the boat went on, there was suddenly a storm! The two first heard it when thunder rumbled from far away, then it got closer, raining on top of the small boat, waves getting wilder. It was swept of course by the winds, Zanik and Forono tried to get it back on course, but it was too late. The boat crashed into a rock and Zanik felt himself falling into cold water...
Zanik wearily woke up and brushed the sand of his clothes. Sand? He had woken up on a beach! He was surprised he was still alive! "Hello? Is anyone there?" He shouted, but got no reply but the echo of his voice. "Forono? Anybody?"
He explored the island, walking up the sandy path, looking around until he felt gravel under his feet. He had got to a village. It was silent, nobody was around. He walked up the path until he got what looked like a temple, so he gingerly stepped inside. There, was Forono who greeted him. "Ah you got washed up here too? I explored up here and nobody was here, and hasn't been for ages. It looks like it's just me and you on this island."
Just then, they heard marching. They ran outside and saw a whole group of people walking up the path. The leader looked at Zanik and Forono and said: "What? How did you get here?"
"We got washed up," Zanik and Forono said. "We were in a boat, and..."
"I see, I see, you got washed up here by the winds of destiny."
"The what?"
"That storm you encountered is called The winds of Destiny. Everyone here in this village has been caught up by that storm."
"And where did you just march away from?" Zanik asked. "The Caves of Destiny?"
"Good guess!"
"I was being sarcastic..." Zanik said.
"Well, looks like you're one of us." the leader said.
"No! I had so much to do!" Forono exclaimed.
"Unless you can get through the caves, but we'll worry about that tomorrow. First we'll make a tent for you."
So they made out a tent for the two and after tea, Zanik and Forono both went to their tents, thinking of how they get out of the island and to carry on with there adventure.
After a long night, Zanik finally drifted of to sleep, and dreamt about the caves of destiny and how he could get all the way through, and then carry on with his big adventure.
